Grace N. Brown, age 80 of Gap, PA, passed away at Harrison Senior Living on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was the loving wife of Harold W. ?Brownie? Brown with whom she celebrated 39 years of marriage on October 31st of last year. She was preceded by her first husband William D. King. She was born in Drumore Township, daughter of the late Charles & Florence Sowders Nau. She was a graduate of Solanco High School. Grace retired from Bell Telephone after 34 years. After retirement she worked for Vision Quest, McClures Bakery of Gap and a local greenhouse. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a lifetime member of the Pioneers of Bell Telephone. She enjoyed her beach home, fishing in the Delaware Bay and traveling north visiting Maine several times. Her last trips took her to Prince Edward Island, Fryburger Fair in Maine and to her sister?s home in Georgia. Grace was a very good cook and enjoyed baking many dozens of cookies with the Bradley?s. One of her great loves was that of the German Shepherd dogs she had over the years.Surviving, besides her husband, is a son Rick, husband of Veronica Graham King of Strasburg and their children: Chuck, Lisa, Ricky & Rochelle and 6 great grandchildren, stepson: Harold, husband of Marlene Bradley of Elkton, MD and their children: Jennifer, Holly & Harold II, 1 great granddaughter. Also surviving are two sisters: Clara Devonshire of Georgia and Esther Tweed of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings. Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Tuesday, February 5th at 11 a.m with Pastor Alphaus D. Stoltzfus officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
