"Buttons" VeraDonald Lee "Buttons" Vera, 79, formerly of 5th Street, Columbia, PA, died on January 26, 2013 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he had been residing. Born in Columbia, PA, he was raised by his Grandparents, James and Sylvia Vera. He retired from the U.S. Aluminum Foundry in Marietta. Buttons was an avid fisherman, in the Bay and the River. Surviving is his long-time Companion: Flossie Ohrel of Columbia, PA; Daughter: Pamela wife of Joseph Wright of Columbia, PA; a Son: Donald Barron of Lancaster, PA;

2 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Son: Donald; his Mother: Loretta Vera; ­Sister: Arlene Benedict; and Brothers: James, Ditty, Bunky, Tarz, and Cliff Vera. At Buttons' request, there will be no formal Services. Arrangements by the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., Columbia/Landisville.
