Joan T. Groff
Joan T. Groff, 75, of East Earl, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy.Born in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Frances (Rodd) Lavine. She was married 37 years on Aug. 31 to C. Christian "Kris" Groff.Joan worked over 52 years in the restaurant business as a server at The Pub in New Holland, the Windmill Restaurant in Morgantown, and most recently at Palermo?s in New Holland. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching TV, cooking, and movies.Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Gregg, married to Betsy Paradise, and Timothy, married to Phamook Paradise; a stepson, Chad C., married to Lisa Groff; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce, married to Michael Massiano, and Beverly Brennan; two sisters-in-law, Bertha and Josephine LaVigne; two brothers-in-law, Robert Merwin and Eric Groff; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is a son, Mark Paradise; two brothers, Martin and Ernie LaVigne; and a sister, Edna Merwin.There will be no services.
