Blanche E. Resh
Blanche E. Resh, 78, of Lancaster, died Wednesday in the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Richard D. Resh with whom she celebrated 35 years of marriage. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Florence Hood Garner. Blanche retired in 1997 after 43 years of service from Burle Industries, formerly the RCA Corporation, where she worked as a tube inspector. In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly missed by her five children, Deborah wife of Ralph Ames, Columbia; Clifford Garner husband of Nancy, Shamokin; Cindy Knier wife of James, Lancaster; Robin Garner, Conestoga; Steven Garner husband of Nichole, Mount Joy; four stepchildren, Vicky Beers, Lancaster; Mike Resh husband of Jane, York; Sandra Leonard wife of Terry, Petersburg, VA; Kathy Resh, Petersburg, VA; grandchildren, Crystal, Samantha, Delmore, Matthew, Jeanne, Amy, Justin, Sylvia, David, Anna, Greg, Nathan, Joshua, Aaron, Sarah, Sean; numerous great grandchildren and a brother, Dewey E. Fritz husband of JoAnn, Columbia. A son John W. Garner, her brothers, William, Marlon and Dr. Melvin Garner, and sister, Florence E. Garner, preceded her in death.A memorial service will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Jeffrey Baylor officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers.
