Accident kills Manheim woman

A 63-year-old Manheim woman died Wednesday from injuries sustained Jan. 25 in an accident on a snow-covered road.

B. Sue Theal, of the 1200 block of Newport Road, was driving east in the 800 block of Newport Road when she lost control of her vehicle on the slippery road surface and it struck a tree, according to Northern Lancaster County Regional police.

Theal required extrication from the vehicle, police said, after which she was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday, the Lancaster County coroner's office informed police that Theal had died from her injuries.

Two passengers in the car -- Paul Theal, 69, and a juvenile -- also were injured in the crash. Paul Theal was listed as stable by a nursing supervisor Thursday. A condition report was not available for the juvenile.
