'Lowest of low' takes Bob's light

TO THE EDITORS:

I recently visited my friend's grave in Fairview Cemetery in Wrightsville, only to see that some low-life or no-life stole the solar light that changed colors that I put on his and his mother's graves. The stake and holder were still there.

I want this person to know, yes, this is stealing. And to steal from the dearly departed is about as low as a person can go.

My friend was recently honored for giving over 45 years of his life to his fellow man. He was a member of Columbia Fire Company and fire police.

This dedicated man is in an early grave because he cared about others. He was about to attend a funeral for a fellow firefighter when he fell so hard he broke his neck and was unable to move from the neck down.

My friend would have given the shirt off his back to the thief, if asked. Now, since that person needs a solar light so bad, I'll give him the stake and holder, too. But, I'm offering a reward to his friends upon his arrest.

In the Bible it says, "Thou shall not steal." Only problem, now it's illegal to read the book in certain places. Hope you enjoy Bob's light.
