Habitat seeks applicants

The Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity will build five houses this year in southwest Lancaster city and is seeking applications from people interested in becoming the owners of those homes.

To qualify, applicants must have an annual income between $33,000 and $55,600. They must be able to show they have the ability to repay a 30-year mortgage, a need for housing based on their present living conditions, and a willingness to contribute 500 hours of "sweat equity" into construction of the home.
