Conewago Creek Initiative to host annual Winter Farmers Meeting
The Conewago Creek Initiative will host its annual Winter Farmers Meeting on Friday, Feb. 22.
The event is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hoss's Steak and Sea House, 840 N. Hanover St., Elizabethtown.
All farmers in the Conewago watershed, in Dauphin, Lebanon and Lancaster counties, are encouraged to attend.
Program collaborators and local farmers will talk about Conewago Creek water quality improvement efforts, riparian buffers, healthy soil and successful ag conservation practices.
Tips on no-till farming also will be offered.
The meeting is free and includes a Hoss's lunch. Space is limited; attendees are encouraged to register early.
