Washington 62, F&M 48

The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team could not overcome a 15-3 second-half run by Washington College en route to a 62-48 defeat Tuesday night in Centennial Conference action.

Trailing by as many as 11 points in the opening half, the Diplomats (4-11 CC, 7-13 overall) cut the Shorewomen's lead to 57-48 with 1:06 remaining, but Washington (8-6, 10-9) closed out the game by scoring the final five points.

Alexa Barbush and Elizabeth Snyder led the way for F&M, recording 14 points apiece. Barbush added five rebounds and three steals while Snyder chipped in four boards.

The Diplomats host Muhlenberg on Saturday in CC action. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
