L-L girls' playoff picture solidifies
Manheim Township's girls' basketball team clinched the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section One title with a 55-37 victory over McCaskey (3-11 L-L, 3-17 overall) Tuesday night in Neffsville.
It was the third straight Section One crown for the Blue Streaks (14-0, 16-2) and their fourth in the last five years.
Township and Hempfield (11-3, 15-4) already had clinched Section One's two L-L League playoff berths.
Cocalico (12-2, 16-3) and Annville-Cleona (9-5, 12-8) also secured playoff spots with victories Tuesday night.
Cocalico's 43-36 win over Lebanon (5-9, 8-12) gave it the second and final playoff berth in Section Three, while Annville's 49-42 victory over Lancaster Mennonite (4-10, 6-14) gave the Little Dutchmen the final playoff spot in Section Four.
Northern Lebanon (10-4, 13-7) had a chance to clinch Section Three's last playoff berth Tuesday night, but instead dropped a 44-37 decision to Elco in Fredericksburg.
