Violet U. Enck

Violet U. Enck, 97, of Manheim, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.She was born in Hopeland to the late Lloyd and Mamie W. (Ulrich) Erwin and was the wife of the late Paul M. Enck.Violet was a lifelong member of the Hopeland United Methodist Church, Hopeland. She was a 1933 graduate of Ephrata High School. She retired from Hopeland Manufacturing Company. Violet was a member of the Ephrata Women?s Connection, formerly Ephrata Christian Women?s Association. Violet is survived by her children, Geraldine "Gerry," wife of John H. Shuey of Ephrata, Paul R. "Buzz" Enck of Ephrata, Pauletta F., wife of Thomas L. "Terry" Engleman of Ephrata; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leroy U. Erwin of Manheim, Carl U. Erwin of Manheim and a sister, Shirley Hilton of Manheim.In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald U. Erwin, Robert U. Erwin; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Heisey and Grace Levering.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, at 11 a.m. at the Hopeland United Methodist Church, 295 North Clay Road, Lititz, with Rev. David Ryan and Rev. Thomas Truitt officiating. Interment will take place in the Hopeland Cemetery, Lititz.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Violet's memory may be made to Hopeland United Methodist Church, 295 North Clay Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
