Craig Miller, a Manheim Township and Wisconsin graduate, set a personal record and finished first in the Elite Mile event of Saturday's New Balance Games at New York Armory, finishing at 3:56.90.

In last weekend's Penn State national meet, Penn State redshirt junior David Patzer (Hempfield) finished eighth in the pole vault at 14 feet, 7 a-v inches; Pitt senior Korinne Piper (Hempfield) helped her distance medley relay ream finish third at 12:02.78; and Georgetown junior Hansel Akers (Hempfield) finished fifth in the 400-meter run at 49.16 and fourth with a 4x400 relay team that ran a time of 3:17.36.
