James R. Herzog
James R. Herzog, 97, of Lancaster died on Friday, January 25, 2013, at his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank and Charlotte Busser Herzog. He was the husband of Pauline Delong Herzog with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage in September.James was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service at the Lancaster branch for 35 years, retiring in 1984. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, the American Legion, VFW, Artisan Lodge and a former member of St. John Neumann Seniors.In addition to his wife Pauline, he is survived by a sister, Jean Tawes of Manheim, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Baldwin.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jim?s Memorial Service on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Acres Chapel, 250 St. Lukes Drive, Lititz, PA with the Rev. Margaret Kassees officiating. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A private interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in James? name can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 223 W.
