PENN TWP.: A resident of the 100 block of Fairland Road, Manheim, called 911 shortly before 5 a.m. Jan. 19 to report that he answered the doorbell and was hit in the face by what he believed was a machete.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital where it was determined he was struck with a flat-screen TV. He suffered a broken jaw and facial lacerations. Police said the suspects are known to the victim. Charges are pending. Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 733-0965.

WARWICK TWP.: A resident of the 100 block of Lititz Run Road returned home around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to find a window pane of a door smashed and the door wide open. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

LITTLE BRITAIN TWP.: State police charged Christopher J. Lewis, 24, of Rising Sun, Md., with taking two motorcycles and other items totaling $4,500 Nov. 24 from the 200 block of South Little Britain Road.

WARWICK TWP.: Rocks were thrown overnight Jan. 19 through windows of three vehicles parked in a private lot in the 900 block of Orchard Road. Amount of damage is unknown.

LANCASTER: James E. Jeffrey, 47, of Strasburg, was charged after a police pursuit Wednesday evening that began at Hazel and Water streets. After being pulled over by state police for driving without headlights, Jeffrey took off, driving through the west end of the city before crashing at Charlotte Street and Harrisburg Avenue.Jeffrey was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he was treated for a broken sinus, broken rib and a laceration to the forehead. He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment, accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property and numerous other traffic offenses.

NEW HOLLAND: Brandon R. Kellander, 19, and Joseph Padilla-Gonzalez Jr., 19, both of New Holland, and Jordan R. Kellander, 19, of Ephrata, were charged after a fight Saturday in the 100 block of East Franklin Street.

PENN TWP.: John J. O'Donnell, 27, of 110 Fruitville Pike, Manheim, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw a woman to the floor during a domestic dispute Monday at his home.

EAST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Four wheels and tires were stolen overnight Jan. 14 from a vehicle at the L.T.M. Collision Center lot, 1188 Enterprise Road.

EAST HEMPFIELD TWP.: A window of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Commercial Avenue was shattered and a car stereo/CD player was stolen overnight Jan. 14.

EARL TWP.: Employees of Hiltz Propane Systems, doing construction at 676 N. Shirk Road for Nolt Gas, reported the theft of two 4-foot cylinders from the job site overnight Jan. 20, New Holland police said. The cylinders are valued at $500 each.

EAST LAMPETER TWP.: Carissa Lynn Garcia, 18, of Lancaster, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with taking 34 items worth $264 at Walmart, 2034 Lincoln Highway East.

EPHRATA TWP.: Police cited Julie K. Wood, 23, of Temple, after she tried to leave Walmart, 890 E. Main St., with stolen cosmetics in her purse Thursday.

EPHRATA TWP.: Police cited Amber L. Heiser, 22, of Ephrata, after accusing her of removing items from the packaging Thursday at Kmart, 1127 S. State St.

WEST LAMPETER TWP.: A one-vehicle crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Monday at Lampeter and Milton roads, township police Offcer J. Eisenhour said.

Two men were taken to the hospital after their sport utility vehicle went over a curb and into a stand of trees.

The driver, Chase Michael David Albright, 24, of Myerstown, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, Eisenhour said. His passenger, John Matthews, 22, of Lancaster, was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

"It is still under investigation, but alcohol is probably a cause in the wreck," Eisenhour said.

Lampeter Road was closed for a short time after the wreck.

FULTON TWP.: A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado extended-cab pickup, white with gray trim, was stolen between 3 and 5:15 p.m. Friday from the 100 block of Grubbs Corner Road. State police said the keys were left in the vehicle. The truck had a stainless-steel tool box and a stack of dark brown scrap metal in the bed. State police ask anyone with information to contact them at 299-7650.
