Eugene B. Kupp
Eugene B. Kupp, 83, of Denver, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Ephrata Community Hospital of natural causes.He was born in Ironville to the late Enos and Gertrude (Smith) Kupp. He attended Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinholds. He was a life member of Ephrata VFW Post 3376 and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the US Army Engineer Corps, Yellow Thunderbirds. He enjoyed the outdoors. During his working years Eugene worked for Local Union 542 out of Philadelphia operating heavy equipment and retired in 1992.Eugene is survived by his 3 sons, Keith Eugene Kupp of Adamstown, Bruce Lamar Kupp of Myerstown, David M., husband of Anita (Hertzog) Kupp of Denver, 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Curtis, husband of Delores Kupp of Denver and a sister, Betty Lego of Harrisburg.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Enos Kupp Jr., Theodore Kupp; 4 sisters, Edna Miller, Patricia Moore, Maggie Moore and Goldie Boyer.A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 30, from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by his funeral services at 10 a.m. at the Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, 275 Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, with Rev. Dennis Trout officiating.
