Sylvia L. Kauffman, 83, Lititz, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence. Born in Lancaster Co., she was the daughter of the late David and Stella Royer Roth. Sylvia was married to the late Robert "Ike" L. Kauffman who died in 1993. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kim (Donald) Stoner, Fran (Jeffrey) Roberts; 2 sons, Stan (Barb) Kauffman, Steve Kauffman; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Jess) Stoner, Jason Stoner, Megan (Jason) Jones, Michael (Juli) Kauffman; a brother, Bob (Patti) Roth; 2 sisters-in-law, Liz (late Charles) Roth and Betty (late Melvin) Roth. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Eugene, Herb, Jim, Raymond and 3 sisters, Kathleen Gulden, Blanch Tangert, and Floss Flosser. "Mom was a sweet and ­loving presence in the lives of her family and friends. She was a super cook, great ­mother and an avid Eagles fan. A beautiful woman with a four fingered whistle that could split your eardrums. She never met a steak she ­didn't like and loved her "Rosey" burgers. She was unselfish and always had a kind word and smile for everyone. She was especially grateful for the company and love of her darlin' "adopted" grandsons, Chris and Alex. She will be dearly missed."Sylvia was a graduate of the former Lititz High School and was nominated "Queen of Candles" during the Lititz Fourth of July Celebration in 1947. She was a member of the Lititz Moravian Church.Sylvia's Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held at Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz on Tuesday, Jan. 29th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark V. Breland, Sr. officiating. Interment in the Moravian Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial ­service in the Church Social Hall.
