Louis Spurigo

Louis Spurigo, 80, of ­Schaefferstown, died Wed-nesday, January 23, 2013 in the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy "Dottie" L. Stambaugh Spurigo to whom he was married for 46 years. He was born in Annville on May 7, 1932, a son of the late Vincenzo and Donell Frattaroli Spurigo. He was a self-employed home improvement contractor for many years and later worked in the antiquing community. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Louis loved horses, gardening and woodworking. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Stephen V. Spurigo of Daytona Beach, FL; Laura "Chuckie" T. Spurigo of Schaefferstown; sisters, Lucy M. Keath of Annville; Sundina wife of Ralph Rhen and Theresa Sherman, both of Lebanon; brothers, August Spurigo, US Air Force, Retired, Pensacola, FL; Anthony Spurigo of Denver; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie Reese. A celebration of Louis?s life will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., ­Schaefferstown with a time for relatives and friends to share from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
