Lamar E. Kessler
Lamar E. Kessler, 91, of Middletown, passed away January 21, 2013. He was the son of the late Edgar and Emma Kessler.He was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII, serving as a radio operator on B-25 aircraft. He served for 2½ years in the Pacific Air Command with the 5th Air Force.He participated in many civic organizations during his residence in Middletown. He was also an avid outdoorsman, particularly small game and deer hunting, as well as all types of fishing.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sybil; son, Neil; 3 brothers and a sister.Surviving are his daughter, Sherryl Powl and husband Edwin; sons, David and wife Theo, Tim, Jeffery and wife Deb; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.A graveside service will be held in late March 2013 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery; date will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rheems Nursing Home & Rehab Center, 141 Heisey Ave., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Arrangements by Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc.
