A Narvon man pointed an assault weapon at a woman during an apparent road rage incident in eastern Lancaster County, police said.

Steven Douglas Frost, 54, got into a "traffic altercation" with a woman in Caernarvon Township on Jan. 12, state police Trooper Reginald Easterling reported in a press release.

Frost walked up to the woman and pointed an AR-15 rifle at her during the 5:49 p.m. incident at Mountain Top Lane and Route 322.

Police stopped Frost nearby and found him to be intoxicated, Easterling said.

They arrested him on charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and DUI.

He was committed to Lancaster County Prison and was released on Jan. 15 after posting $100,000 bail, officials said.

It is not the first drunken driving charge filed against Frost, county court records show.

He pleaded guilty in June 2011 to DUI after a Sept. 11, 2010, arrest.
