Toys brightened tots' Christmas

TO THE EDITORS:

"Christmas isn't Christmas 'til it happens in the heart.''

These are the opening words to a Christmas song. Surely, your heart is overflowing with the spirit of Christmas, because thanks to your support, the Lancaster County Detachment Marine Corps League's Toys For Tots Program was a huge success.

With your help, we were able to make Christmas a little brighter for 10,506 needy children throughout Lancaster County.

We collected 33,445 toys this year. This does not include the mountains of stuffed animals, books, tapes and stocking stuffers which were also collected.

It's a wonderful feeling to be in a position to help so many children, but then we would not be in this position, if it were not for your generous support.

Working together as a team, we have made a difference, so again, I say, thank you, for helping us to help others.
