Salisbury supervisors OK resident requests

Finishing up leftover business from last year was on the menu for Salisbury Township supervisors on Jan. 15.

At its meeting, the board made short work of a short slate of land development plans that were reworked to comply with decisions by the township's zoning hearing board in 2012. Some date back to September and earlier.

In quick succession, with little discussion, the board approved the following requests:

n Gideon and Barbara Stoltzfus will create a 2-acre subdivision from their 84-acre farm at 461 White Horse Road.

n The final plan for Ben K. Zook's construction firm, Sheds R Us, on Amish Road. The plan combines two lots that had been used as one property into a single deed.

n Christ and Elsie King's land swap that deducts about a quarter of an acre from their 66-acre farm and adds it to an adjacent 1.24-acre residential lot at 5293 Peters Road.

n A lot line reconfiguration shifting existing structures onto one of two lots owned by Ira J. Stoltzfus, who plans to expand his grocery store, Creekside Foods, at 339 Spring Garden Road.

In other business, the board welcomed Lancaster Catholic High School junior Steve Lopez, who observed the meeting for his government class.
