Martic Twp. reorganizes
BY JED KENSINGER, Staff Writer
Duane Sellers is entering his second year as chairman of the Martic Township Board of Supervisors after the board reorganized and reappointed him as its leader earlier this month.
His six-year term expires in 2017.
Carl T. Drexel, who the board appointed as a supervisor last May after the resignation of David Wedge, was named vice chairman. Drexel's term as an unelected supervisor expires in December.
Drexel replaces Ted Irwin in the role of vice chairman. Irwin will continue to serve as a supervisor, and his term expires in 2015.
Bethany Birchall will again serve as treasurer. Her term ends in December.
Richard C. Drumm Jr. serves as supervisor through 2015.
The board reappointed Karen Sellers as secretary, Mike Rankin as road master and Dennis Shenk as zoning officer.
The only new face is Christian Gruber, who supervisors appointed as auditor.
Supervisors meet at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month, except holidays. Meetings are held at 370 Steinman Farm Road, Pequea.
