The Department of State has released the list of candidates for the April 24 primary in the order they will appear on the ballot. We can argue all day about how much of an advantage there is in being listed high on the ballot, especially in low-profile contests whether many of the candidates are unknown. But we can agree, I think, that there is some benefit in being at the top.
So let’s take a look at ballot position for the nine candidates for delegate to the Republican National Convention in the 16th Congressional District. In a nutshell, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul supporters ought to be pretty pleased.
Keep in mind, Republican voters will elect only three of these delegate candidates. Here they are, in the order they will appear on the ballot. Note: I have included the information on whether the candidates are pledged are not, even though that stuff will not appear on the ballot.
