Hempfield Republicans announce slate of endorsed candidates

News from the Hempfield Republicans:

“The Hempfield Area Republican Committee recently announced its endorsed candidates for Hempfield School Board, East Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors, and District Magistrate for East Hempfield and East Petersburg, according to Committee Chairman Dave Dumeyer.

“For School Board the Committee endorsed three incumbent board members seeking re-election: Bill Jimenez, Daniel Forry, and Charles Merris Jr.  The committee chose two newcomers to serve with them, James Maurer, Jr. and William Otto; both have extensive business backgrounds.  The endorsements represent a balance of experience and fresh vision and will make a highly qualified team of candidates for the school board.

“The Committee went with experience again in endorsing its two candidates for township supervisor, John Bingham, immediate past chairman of the Board, and former supervisor Ed Lefevre. The endorsed pair have over 30 combined years in East Hempfield Township government and bring real experience necessary to make the tough decisions of balancing a municipal budget.

“Attorney Brian Chudzik handily won the endorsement of the Committee to replace District Magistrate David Brian.  Chudzik, a graduate of Dickinson School of Law, has been a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s office for the last twenty years.  The committee went with Chudzik’s courtroom experience, his priority on families,  and his activities within the Hempfield community.”
