Now an elected Lancaster County Democratic Committeeperson from Willow Street, Pequea Township, Jonathan Paul Fox is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, where he worked as both an arson investigator and police detective-sergeant for well over a decade.
A resident of Lancaster County since 1996, he served the Human Relations Commission of the County of Lancaster as its Police & Community Relations Liaison and Civil Rights Investigator from 2001 until its “disbanding” in December of 2010 by the county’s Republican-controlled Board of Commissioners.
Active politically since volunteering for Senator George McGovern’s campaign for President,
“Jon Paul” was the local leader for John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign, and was elected to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s “Executive Committee”, representing Lancaster County Democrats at the state-level from 2006 until 2010.
Currently, Jonathan performs volunteer work with the Lancaster County Coalition for Religious & Social Justice, and serves on the Executive Board of Mental Health America of Lancaster County, as well as in the positions of Treasurer and Board Member for Keystone Progress.
