Corbett taps Brubaker, Bear, Wenger, Barley for transition team

Among the Lancaster Countians named to Republican Gov.-elect Tom Corbett’s transition team are:

  • State Sen. Mike Brubaker, a Republican from Warwick Township who will serve on the team’s agriculture committee.
  • State Rep. John Bear, a Republican from Lititz who will serve on the team’s budget, pensions and revenue committee.
  • Former state Rep. John E. Barley, the chief executive officer of Versant Strategies; he will serve on the team’s agriculture committee.
  • Former state Sen. Noah W. Wenger, who will also serve on the team’s agriculture committee.
  • Martin, a Republican county commissioner, has been named to the Corbett transition team’s local government committee.
  • Jim Adams, the president and CEO of Wenger Feeds, who will serve on the agriculture committee.
  • Mike Firestine, a senior vice president at Fulton Bank, who will serve on the agriculture committee.
  • Rick Sheetz, executive deputy attorney general of the state Attorney General’s Criminal Law Division, who will serve on the team’s criminal justice committee.
  • Jack Zimmer, president and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors Keystone Chapter in Manheim; he will serve on the labor and workforce development committee.
  • Scott Sheely, executive director of the county’s Workforce Investment Board; he will serve on the labor and workforce development committee.
