Gloria Steinem, who at age 75 remains American feminism’s foremost spokeswoman, will headline a $75-a-person fundraiser for Democratic congressional candidate Lois Herr on March 27, according to Herr’s campaign Web site. The fundraiser is being held at the home of Bob and Ellen Groff in Lancaster. Herr is running making her third run at Republican U.S. Rep. Joe Pitts this year. Herr has raised a total of $113,625 during this election cycle and had $39,930 on hand Jan. 1. Pitts has raised a total of $261,820 during this entire election cycle and had $221,817 on hand at the beginning of the year.
