Republican Brett Miller, a Warwick Middle School guidance counselor and East Hempfield Township supervisor, announced Sunday night he will seek GOP endorsement for the seat. Miller will face fellow Republican Ryan P. Aument, the county Clerk of Courts, in the race for party backing. “My enter career has been about helping people,” said Miller, 48, of Woodridge Drive. “In my professional career and my local government experience as a supervisor I have always enjoyed trying to find solutions to the problems people are facing.”
Miller said he is also running to help restore trust in Harrisburg. “When you look at what’s happening in Harrisburg, you have the indictments that seem to occur routinely, budgets that have not been passed on time in seven years, politicians who are seeking their own interests rather than the interests of their constituents,” he said. “Quite honestly I and the residents of the 41st district are fed up with that type of behavior,” Miller said. “If on the local level that type of behavior occurred, the citizens wouldn’t stand for it. Local government works. They expect accountability, openness and transparency, and that’s the type of work I’ve been involved with.”
Here are both Miller’s letter to committee people and his resume.
