State police have identified the Lancaster man who disappeared from a bridge over the Susquehanna River.

Todd Errol Martin, 42, left his vehicle parked in the middle of the Norman Wood bridge in Martic Township sometime before it was discovered at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

The vehicle's lights, including four-way hazards and an interior light, were on. An unconfirmed report indicated a note was found in the car.

Police said they believe Martin's last-known location was the bridge.

Crews on foot and in boats scoured the river Saturday, but could not find Martin.

Police have entered him as a missing person in a national police database. The investigation continues.

State police ask anyone who may have seen Martin on the bridge or who may have information to call them at 299-7650.
