The Teddy Bear Emporium, 47 E. Main St., Lititz, will reopen Thursday with a new owner and some new creatures to go along with the store's namesake bears.

Eleanor McKee, who bought the stuffed animal store from longtime owner Pixie Beck, has added all kinds of dragons — stuffed and otherwise — to the roughly 2,000-square-foot store.

McKee said that while the store will keep much of its former look, there will be a new emphasis on mythical characters and creatures, including knights and fairies. The store also carries a variety of toys and games.

Teddy Bear Emporium was closed for a little more than a week as McKee restocked the shelves and rearranged some fixtures. McKee, who previously owned a fine American craft and fair trade store in Plymouth, Mass., is bringing some of those products to the Teddy Bear Emporium.

McKee is the third owner of the store which has been in Lititz for more than 20 years. In 2009, it moved from 51 N. Broad St. McKee has one employee.

Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 626-8334.
