An East Petersburg woman was charged Tuesday in a hit-and-run case earlier this month that left a child injured.

Julie M. Mullin, 34, of Northfield Drive, is accused of striking a 12-year-old girl with her car on Jan. 3 on Graystone Road as the child was walking toward her bus stop.

Mullin is accused of fleeing the scene after the accident.

Mullin was identified as the driver after police received several tips regarding the vehicle that had fled.

Following an investigation, she was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, duty to give information and render aid, and immediate notice of accident to police.

Mullin was arraigned before District Judge Brian E. Chudzik and released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
