One person was killed and another seriously injured in separate crashes Thursday.

In Rapho Township, a man died in a one-vehicle crash in the 2500 block of Meadow View Road.

The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m.

Manheim Borough police said the vehicle was traveling south when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver, who was the sole occupant, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police withheld the name of the man Thursday night pending notification of family.

They ask anyone with information to contact them at 665-2481.

In West Cocalico Township, a pickup truck flipped onto its side just after 9 p.m. in the 200 block of North King Street in West Cocalico Township.

Police said the driver was traveling north on King Street when his vehicle left the right side of the road.

He then over-corrected and went off the other side of the road where the truck flipped over, according to police.

The victim, who police said is from Denver, was trapped and had to be cut from the vehicle by rescue personnel. Police said he was conscious at the scene.

He was flown by a PennStar chopper to Reading Hospital. An official said the man's injuries were serious but could not provide any other details.
