RRTA bus strikes storefront at Kendig Square

A bus struck a storefront at Kendig Square Monday morning.

No one was on the Red Rose Transit Authority bus except for the driver, who was not injured, according to Lancaster County-Wide Communications.

According to radio communications, the bus partially left the roadway in the parking lot at 8:47 a.m. and went onto the sidewalk in front of the Kmart store in the shopping center at 2600 Willow Street Pike in West Lampeter Township.

The bus struck a store overhang, as well as two shopping carts.

No shoppers were injured.
