A thief got someone's goat in Upper Leacock Township, police said.
The black and white fainting goat was stolen from a front yard in the 300 block of Eby Road overnight Friday, East Lampeter Township police reported Monday.
The 40-pound goat was in a fenced-in enclosure with other goats and sheep.
It was valued at $100.
Fainting goats' muscles freeze for about 10 seconds when the animals panic.
Police found shoe prints where the thief climbed the fence to get the goat, township police Lt. Robin Weaver said.
Police do not know the thief's motive.
They ask anyone with information to call them at 291-4676.
