AUCTIONS: Lititz farm brings $1.4 million

Kline, Kreider & Good Auctioneers conducted the following public sales:

• Wednesday, for John and Beth Sheaffer at 8381 Old Route 22, Bethel. A three-bedroom rancher with a finished lower-level family room, a barn and a detached garage, on 3.8 acres, sold for $187,000 to David Bahner, Frystown.

• Oct. 26, for Warren and Ruth Becker at 1150 Pine Hill Road, Lititz. An 89-acre limestone farm with a 2 1/2-story, two-family house; a bank barn, an equipment building, a garage and miscellaneous outbuildings sold for $1,406,200 to Jesse Martin, Lititz.

• Jay Leary, Randy Stoltzfus and Larry Heinsey conducted a public sale Oct. 27 for Charlotte A. Weaver at 305 Linden St., Terre Hill. A three-bedroom bilevel on an 83-by-165-foot lot sold for $142,000 to Eli and Jennie Horst, Denver. Also sold were an Edison Model C standard phonograph, $310; a Terre Hill school desk, $230; a strap of graduated brass sleigh bells, $225; a Frigidaire refrigerator, $170; a Chester H. Weaver-New Holland quart milk bottle, $155; a George Marsh empire ogee clock, $140; an oak washstand, $130; a Terre Hill baseball uniform, $120; and a baby cradle, $100.

• Art Pannebecker & Brad Wolf Auctioneers Inc. conducted the following public sales:

Early Lancaster County books sold included "Annals of Conestoga Valley" with index, $450; an 1899 Lancaster County road map, $340; 1875 historical Lancaster County atlases, $190, $160 and $130; an 1851 Lancaster County map, $200; an 1864 Bridgens atlas, $170; an 1853 Lancaster County East Hempfield map (Bridgens), $140; and an early 1780 German book, $145.
