The Obama campaign has released more details about Jill Biden's planned stop in Lancaster and a handful of other cities early this week.
The wife of Vice President Joe Biden will speak on behalf of President Barack Obama and the Democratic ticket during a 2 p.m. stop at the campaign's West King Street field office Tuesday.
Mrs. Biden's appearance here is part of a two-day swing through Pennsylvania that includes Harrisburg, Scranton, Hazleton, Allentown, Reading and South Philadelphia. The campaign said Biden will be encouraging supporters and volunteers to remind Pennsylvanians to register to vote before the Oct. 9 deadline.
She will also encourage volunteers to help organize their communities between now and Election Day, and will thank them for their work, the campaign said.
Mrs. Biden's trip to Pennsylvania begins Monday morning, when she will help kick off canvassing at the campaign field office in Harrisburg. She'll continue on to Scranton, Hazleton and Allentown.
On Tuesday, Mrs. Biden will help kick off canvassing at the Obama campaign field office at 250 W. King St. in Lancaster. After the 2 p.m. event, she will continue on to Philadelphia.
