A Mount Joy man charged with drug offenses earlier this year is facing new charges after authorities said they seized cocaine, marijuana and cash at his home Thursday.

Raymond Roman, 25, was free on bail after being arrested in April; he's now being held on the new charges at Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $1.25 million bond.

Authorities said they seized 312 grams of cocaine — including more than 100 grams of crack cocaine —marijuana and more than $5,200 in cash during Thursday's raid at 1317 Fieldstone Drive.

Detectives had been watching Roman's home for some time and corralled him as he walked his dog nearby, according to investigators.

When detectives walked Roman, and the dog, backed to his home, they smelled a strong odor of fresh marijuana, investigators said. Roman admitted there was a large amount of marijuana in the home, they said.

Besides the drugs and money, authorities said they found numerous items for drug packaging and sales, including small bags and a scale.

Roman is charged with five felony drug-dealing charges and related offenses.

In April, Roman was charged with possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher Lechner, who approved the charges, credited the Lancaster County Drug Task Force for an "outstanding investigation." Detective Anthony Lombardo led the probe.

"Through their vigilance and proactive approach to drug enforcement, they were able to take a sizable quantity of drugs off our streets," Lechner said Friday.

District Judge Rodney Hartman arraigned Roman and set bail at $1.25 million.

Online state court records do not indicate an attorney for Roman.
