David Denlinger is tied for eighth after Tuesday's second round of competition at the Pennsylvania Amateur Golf Championship.
Denlinger, who plays out of Lancaster Country Club, has a two-day total of 68-73—141 and trails leader Andrew Mason of Huntingdon Valley (134) by seven strokes entering Wednesday's final round at the par-70 Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield. Action resumes at 7:30 Wednesday morning.
Mason is the defending champ, winning a year ago when the event was held at Lancaster Country Club. He followed up his opening-round 64 with a 70 Tuesday to improve his lead to three strokes over Nathan Smith of Pinecrest. Smith shot 66-71—137 and stands alone in second at 3-under.
Brandon Dalinka, a PAGA Individual member, and Scotch Valley Country Club's Anthony DeGol are tied for third at 138.
Conestoga Country Club's Zak Drescher (72-75), LCC's Craig Hornberger (73-74) and Lebanon Country Club's Brady Goodling (71-76) are tied for 22nd with a two-round total of 147.
Honeybrook's Daniel Leibowitz (77-74—151), Meadia Heights' JD Dornes (174-78—52), PAGA Individual member Brixton Albert (74-78—152), Fairview's Charles White (78-79—157), Bent Creek's Conor Gilbert (78-79—157), Meadia Heights' Craig Kliewer (75-86—161) and Honeybrook's Aaron Fricke (82-79—161) all missed the cut.
