TO THE EDITORS:
Here is some information about the H.R. 3596, the Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act.
"To require a publicly available a list of all employers that relocate a call center overseas and to make such companies ineligible for federal grants or guaranteed loans and to require disclosure of the physical location of business agents engaging in customer service communications."
Anyone who votes against this bill should not wear the American flag on his lapel, should not talk about job creation and should not chatter about dependence on foreign anything. Not protecting jobs in America does not protect American interests.
Jobs here means that employees here pay taxes here, which is more than a lot of the corporations that are sending our jobs abroad are paying. Jobs here pay mortgages here. Jobs abroad in some instances mean troops abroad to protect American interests. American troops protecting American corporate interests are not worth one life of an American soldier.
When our elected officials do not value our jobs, homes, tax base or troops, then how can they, in good conscience, say they are patriotic and represent our flag or us?
