The annual heART of Friendship benefit ART Action will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 at James Street Mennonite Church, 323 W. James St., Lancaster.

Over 40 professional artists have joined forces to support The heART of Friendship Art Gallery.  The gallery enables artists to express themselves through pallet and paintbrush. By creating marketable pieces of art, the heART artists have the chance to begin the path towards economic independence.  Through a silent and live auction, event participants will have the opportunity to bid on their creations as well as professional artwork ranging from acrylics and watercolors to pottery and jewelry.

The silent auction and reception begins at 6 p.m. The live auction emceed Liz Hess will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the heART of Friendship Gallery, 39 E. Main St., Ephrata or at the Friendship Community office, 1149 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. Cost is for $15 for advance ticket purchases. Tickets will also be available at the door; cost is $20.

A preview of some of the items on the auction block is available at www.FriendshipART.net.   Tickets for the event may also be purchased on this site, and online bids may be placed here as well.
