Moe's Bistro & Coffee Shop has opened at 345 W. Main St. in Leola.
The new restaurant in the Meadowbook shops takes part of the space that had once been occupied by La Terra Bakery & Antipasto Bar.
But the new restaurant also has taken over another space next door, giving Moe's seating for about 150 in a dining room as well as a smaller area with a counter, dessert case and some plush seats.
Moe's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu includes a variety of omelets, pancakes, crepes and breakfast casseroles as well as specialty coffee drinks.
Lunch and dinner menus include sandwiches, steaks, Italian dishes, seafood and salads as well as country fare such as baked ham loaf and meatloaf.
Owner Mohammed Khairat oversaw more than $100,000 in renovation work before opening. It included adding new kitchen equipment and outfitting the new dining room.
The restaurant has some 50 full-and-part-time workers. Khairat has worked many years in the restaurant business, most recently at Park City Diner.
