Penn Manor School District has reached a tentative agreement with its teachers on a new contract.
Neither side would release any details on the proposal, which is believed to be a multiyear deal.
The district's 384 teachers are currently working under a one-year contract that froze their salaries. The new agreement, if approved by both sides, would take effect July 1.
Teachers and school board members are scheduled to vote on the proposal March 5.
The teachers agreed to a wage freeze this year in exchange for a promise by the administration that no teachers would be laid off in 2011-12. Their previous contract boosted salaries by about 3.7 percent a year.
Other recently approved teacher contracts have included raises ranging from zero percent to 1.6 percent.
Lancaster County Career & Technology Center teachers in December approved a contract that would boost their pay by 1.6 percent this year and freeze their salaries in 2012-13. But the CTC's joint operating committee has yet to ratify the pact.
Teachers in Octorara Area School District in October approved a contract that freezes their salaries this year and boosts teacher pay by 1 percent in each of the next two years.
Teachers in three other county districts — School District of Lancaster, Lampeter-Strasburg and Manheim Central — are continuing negotiations on new contracts.
