A man wanted for shooting his wife at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg fled halfway across the country before being caught.

Police captured Beau Gaylord Robinson on Saturday in Missouri, a day after he allegedly shot his wife in a parking lot at the complex, officials said.

Robinson, 61, is facing attempted murder and related charges for the Friday morning shooting of his wife. The woman hasn't been identified and her condition is unavailable.

However, state police on Friday night filed charges of attempted murder, reckless endangerment and simple assault.

Attempted homicide, a first-degree felony, is typically filed when serious injury is involved.

Robinson, a vendor this weekend at the Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, fled to his home state where he was caught by police and the U.S. Marshals Service without incident.

More than 50 state police troopers responded to the Farm Show complex Friday morning for reports of a shooting in the parking lot.

The drama began Friday just before 10:30 a.m., as Tim Spangler, of Harrisburg, was helping friends from Montana unload their trailer for the Outdoor Show, according to a Harrisburg Patriot-News report.

Spangler thought some kids were blowing the horn of one the RVs in the Farm Show Complex parking lot. He walked about five spaces and found a woman blowing the camper's horn, her clothes and hair covered in dried blood. "She said, 'I'm dying, I'm dying! My husband shot me,' " Spangler told the Patriot-News.

Robinson was to be a vendor at the show, authorities said. They released no further details about a possible motive for the alleged attack.
