Elizabethtown College saw its three-game women's basketball winning streak come to an end on Wednesday night with a 79-52 loss at Widener.
The Blue Jays (13-6, 6-3 CC) led for the majority of the first half. Nadine Yunginger led the team with 10 points and two assists. Stephanie Ellwood forced three steals and pulled down three rebounds.
The Pride (13-7, 6-3 CC) took control after Jennifer Egee drained a three-pointer to set the score at 22-20 with six minutes remaining in the first. Egee would go on to score 19 points in the first half.
Egee's career-high 21 points led three Pride players in double figures. Lil Carney scored 17 and Kate Dellinger 14 for Widener, which moved into a tie with E-town at 6-3 in league play.
