Chloe is a mature and peaceful cat who is searching for a calm home where she can quietly observe the world around her.
This beautiful 8-year-old cat has been patiently awaiting adoption for the past six months in one of the shelter's cat colonies. While she understands that she is often overlooked for her more outgoing roommates, she is hoping that someone special will appreciate her mellow personality.
Chloe enjoys nuzzling into your affectionate touch and indulging in a chin rub. She is already spayed, litter- box trained and accustomed to sharing her living space with other cats. Chloe isn't one to steal the spotlight or demand constant attention; she would much rather just enjoy being near you. Adopt gentle Chloe and she will always prove to be a good listener and your very best friend.
Chloe is available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals can also be viewed online at humaneleague.com. Regular shelter hours are 3-8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and noon-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The shelter is closed Wednesday and Sunday. Call the league at 393-6551.
From Jan. 3-9, the league received 38 dogs and 43 cats. Twenty-seven dogs and 37 cats were adopted; 11 stray dogs were reclaimed by their owners. Two dogs were transferred to other rescue organizations.
Previously featured dog Kannika has been adopted.
Start the new year off on the right paw by making sure that your furry friends are up to date on vaccinations and routine veterinary care. Consistent trips to your vet office will give your veterinarian the opportunity to screen for any health problems or behavior changes that may indicate an underlying illness.
