EcoLoco Gifts has moved from Strasburg to Lititz, opening at 55 E. Main St. The store, owned by Jodi Conklin, sells fairly traded and environmentally responsible gift items and home décor, including candles, coffee and handbags made from old seatbelts.

Conklin said the move to a larger store allows her to offer ceramic products, and she has added a new line of jewelry as well as home décor such as baskets and bamboo utensils. The new store also has more storage, which allows for bigger inventories of products, she said.

Conklin said she gets some items through international contacts of her own and also works with vendors who work to give a fair price to merchants around the world. Conklin works at the store and has two employees.

Hours: 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Phone: 627-5305.

Store moves

The Sassy Tassel has moved from Lititz to Lancaster, opening a smaller store at 354 N. Queen St.

The shop, owned by Vicki Gassmann, had been in Lititz for 11 years. In the new space, which is some 200 square feet, Gassmann said she will concentrate on textiles and fabrics for quilting, crafting and home decorating, dropping some of the gift lines she had at the roughly 1,600-square-foot store in Lititz.

Hours: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday.

Restaurant adds on

The Manheim Grill & Restaurant, 1455 Lancaster Road, Manheim, has added a new buffet line, completing what had been planned when the restaurant opened in October 2010.

The buffet includes a line for hot foods, another for salads and another for desserts. It serves breakfast on the weekends in addition to lunch and dinner.

Adding the buffet, which included installing new equipment such as a rotisserie chicken machine, cost some $20,000, said Reda Amin, one of the owners. The buffet, which supplements the existing menu, is in what had been a waiting area.

Antiques store opens

Contented Cat Antiques has opened at 2108 Marietta Ave. The 700-square-foot store sells a variety of vintage and estate jewelry as well as clothing, linens, china, glass and paper goods. It also has a small men's department with tools, cameras and barware. It is owned by Stella Abendroth.

Hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Phone: 517-7901.
