A Willow Street man has been charged with fleeing from police after leading them on a 20-minute chase through the southern end of Lancaster County on Thursday night.

Lancaster state police said John Vincent Zook, 41, of Maplewood Circle, fled after they attempted to pull him over for allegedly littering. Zook failed to yield to police lights and a siren and continued traveling for 20 minutes, heading north toward Willow Street.

Zook finally pulled into the driveway of his Pequea Township home, and was taken into custody and charged with fleeing and eluding police, state police said.

The state police were assisted by the West Lampeter Township and Southern Regional police departments during the chase.

Zook was charged before District Justice William Benner Jr., of Willow Street.
