Garden Spot presents concert series

Garden Spot Village will open its popular 2011-12 Saturday Evening Concert Series on Saturday, Nov. 19, with renowned piani James Correnti.

Correnti, a former pastor at Fleishman Memorial Baptist Church, Philadelphia, is chairman of keyboard studies at Eastern University and affiliate artist at the Philadelphia Biblical University School of Music and Performing Arts. 

A graduate of The Julliard School, New York, he has performed more than 4,000 concerts.

Other concerts in the series include: Dec. 17 - Garden Spot High School Vocal Ensemble; Jan. 21 - Four Piece Quartet; Feb. 18 - Red Rose City Chorus; March 17 - Schwandt Family Chamber Ensemble; and April 21 - The Heritage Chorale of Lancaster will end the season.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. in the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, and are open to the public.  Admission is free.  Donations will be accepted for the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund. For more information, call 355-6000.
