Ultimate Men's Thrift, Clothing & Collectibles has opened in Ephrata at 30 E. Main St.

The store sells vintage clothes, beer signs and other equipment and collectibles that appeal to men.

The roughly 700-square-foot store is in a former art gallery next to the Fun-est Toy Store Ever.

It's owned by Richard Pratt, who has gathered many of the items from antiques and collectibles auctions.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Phone: 413-5069.

Restaurant coming

Babbo's Restaurant and Grill is slated to open in early December at 2000 W. Main St. in Mount Joy, the former home of Clearview Diner.

Salvatore Caretti has owned the property along Route 230 for about four years, leasing it to two restaurants that both closed.

Now he is renovating it himself into an Italian family-style restaurant that will also serve alcohol. Caretti formerly owned Pizzatown Restaurant in Elizabethtown.

Grocery store renovates

The Weis Market in the Red Rose Commons, 1700 Fruitville Pike, has completed a remodeling that has put in a new décor, added new checkout registers and reconfigured some of the store's layout.

The 65,000-square foot store also slightly expanded the produce department and upgraded bakery, deli and floral departments. A store spokesman declined to give the cost of the work.

New shop owner

Pitter Patter Consignment, 48 W. Main St., Leola, has a new owner.

Alex Diffenbaugh has taken over from Jen Eberly, who had the shop for about three years. Diffenbaugh said he is not planning any major changes.

The store is on the second floor of the War Memorial building, next to Joe's Famous Wings & Wieners. It carries items for women, juniors and children, including clothing, games and toys.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Phone: 656-2699.

Chick-fil-A coming

Chick-fil-A has announced that its 2467 Lincoln Highway East restaurant will open Dec. 8.

The fast-food chicken restaurant, next to the Quality Center and across Route 30 from Rockvale Outlets, will be the first Lancaster County location for the Atlanta-based company.

Chick-fil-A has some 1,560 U.S. locations, including ones in York, Harrisburg and Reading.

Bookstore to move

In January, Aaron's Books, 45 S. Broad St., Lititz, will be moving around the block to 35 E. Main St.

The new space will be roughly the same size as the current shop, but in a better location, said Sam Droke-Dickinson, the shop's co-owner.

The bookstore will temporarily close Dec. 24 at its current location and reopen Jan. 1 in the new spot.

Salon correction

Salon Enso opened recently at 245 Centerville Road, Suite 6. An incorrect name was given in last week's "What's in Store" column.
