Bus Trips

Penn State Alumni Association's Harrisburg Chapter will sponsor a bus trip to Columbus for the Penn State vs. Ohio State football game Nov. 18-20. Canoe/Kayak

Canoe/Kayak Race to benefit the Humane League of Lancaster County will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Muddy Run Park in Holtwood. All types of paddlers are welcome. There is a short course that is one lap around the lake, a longer course that is two times around the lake, and a special shorter adult/youth course. Ninth annual North Museum Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, at Four Seasons Golf Course in Landisville. Proceeds support the North Museum of Natural History & Science's educational programs and exhibits. Millersville's sixth annual Lady Marauder Basketball Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at Crossgates Golf Club in Millersville. Spirit Passes

Lampeter-Strasburg High School is selling Spirit Passes for $50, $25 for students and seniors, and $125 for a family (two adults, two or more children). Passes will be honored at all home events for regular-season sports schedule for the 2011-12 school year. Tennis

Lancaster Tennis Patrons Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament will be held Sept. 15-18 at the Lancaster Tennis and Yacht Club. Divisions will be combined NTRP ratings of 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, and Open. Players may be no more than 1.0 NTRP level apart. Each team will play a minimum of three matches. A buffet dinner/social with live music will be held after the matches at 6 p.m. Saturday.
